Matt and Beth Bloomfield bring a combined 20 years of experience in theatre productions and event services together.
Since its founding in 2012, MB Productions has come a long way - as a small family run business, led by Matt together with his wife Beth.
Having trained with the National Youth Theatre, Matt has an extensive background working throughout the UK as well as in the West End, contributing to over 212 productions with expertise in Lighting, Sound and Visual Set Design, both for Theatre as well as corporate productions.
Matt & Beth’s now combined creativity under MB Productions helps them bring Theatre productions to life through dynamic and innovative Set, Visual and Sound design with a view of always delivering an immersive experience for the audience.
Together Matt and Beth, complement each other with their skills in design, from creating concept ideas and finally bringing the vision to life, ensuring every show is visually compelling and professionally executed.

"The lighting and set design were deeply atmospheric and cinematic in scope. Cinematic in its scope and detail, it underscored the show’s emotional beats with atmospheric precision. Gritty and subdued tones helped carve out the darker, more haunting aspects of the story, while brighter palettes lifted musical numbers and gave emotional light to moments of levity. Scene transitions were enriched with moody shift in tones and snappy fades which enabled the show to flow seamlessly and when combined with the effective use of moving set pieces, this was visually pleasing to me and added pace and flow to the piece. The lighting team deserve huge credit for their role in supporting the show’s narrative and emotional flow.
The set itself was also fantastic. A versatile and stylised design that allowed for slick and visually stimulating transitions between scenes, with cleverly integrated levels and moveable components that brought the Texas setting to life."

Every creative aspect of this production was expertly engineered with Matt Bloomfield’s lighting design adapting to every change in location, emotion and atmosphere fluidly from the bright vibrance of ‘Under the Sea’ to the gloomy sombreness of Ursula’s Lair.
The set and visual design (MB Productions) does a splendid job presenting the changes in location and set pieces, which complement the action on stage.
Exploring friendship, family and love, The Little Mermaid is a show for all ages which takes you on a magical journey full of music, dancing and colour.

Plymkids 2025 production of "Beauty and the Beast" at the Theatre Royal Plymouth delivered a captivating spectacle that delighted audiences of all ages. The dynamic set design masterfully transformed the stage, immersing viewers in a fairy tale world with its imaginative and fluid scenery changes.
The lighting design was both precise and professional, expertly highlighting key moments and enhancing the emotional depth of the story.
A special mention must go to the stunning costumes crafted by MB Productions, which were intricate, beautiful, and full of vibrant detail, bringing each character vividly to life.
Overall, this production combines technical excellence with enchanting storytelling, making it a must-see event for theatre enthusiasts.

Having been the Chairman of a Scout and Guide Gang Show for almost twenty years, the experience we have had with Matt and Beth and Imatination this year has been the best ever. They visited our all day rehearsal, had the lighting and sound planned and ready for our get in day at the theatre and stayed with us all week both before and during the performances.
